CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING
Meeting Minutes of December 14, 2010
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Civil Service Commission was held on December 14,
2010 in Resource Room #2 located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main
Street, Auburn, WA. The following members were in attendance.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Gene Cerino, Cyril Van Selus and Roger Thordarson.
. STAFF PRESENT: Police Chief Bob Lee, Assistant City Attorney Steven Gross, and Civil Service
Secretary Terry Mendoza.
ACTION:
Chairman Cerino called the meeting to order at 3:41 p.m.
Appointment of Chairman and Chairrnan Pro Tem for the Commission in 2011:
• For Chairman- Nomination of Gene Cerino. made by Member Van Selus; Member
Thordarson seconded. Gene Cerino accepted.
• For Chairman Pro Tem- Nomination of Roger Thordarson made by Chairman Cerino;
Member Van Selus seconded. Roger Thordarson accepted.
Approval of the November 9, 2010 Civil Service Commission meeting minutes:
• Minutes were accepted as written. Motion by Chairman Pro Tem Thordarson; Member
Van Selus seconded.
Approval of the November 17, 2010 Entry Police Officer Eligibility list:
• Eligibility list approved. Motion by Chairman Pro Tem Thordarson; Member Van Selus
seconded.
Approval of the December 8, 2010 Latera) Police Officer Eligibility list:
• Eligibility list approved. Motion by Chairman Pro Tem Thordarson; Member Van Selus
seconded.
UPDATES: .
Lateral Police Officer loshua Scott began employment on December 13, 2010.
