William C Warren served in the United States Army during World War II where he received the Bronze Star for Valor, was active in the Auburn Veterans Community, was the inspirational designer of the Auburn Veterans Memorial and served as the chairman of the committee that raised the funds and oversaw construction of the memorial. "Bill" Warren; and WHEREAS, the petition states that Mr. Warren served in the United States Army during World War II, where he received the Bronze Star for Valor, was active in the Auburn Veterans Community, was the inspirational designer of the Auburn Veterans Memorial and served as the chairman of the committee that raised the funds and oversaw construction of the memorial. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows: Resolution No. 4684 1.26.11 Page 1 of 2 Section 1. The City Council of the City of Auburn finds that Mr. Warren's outstanding service to this country and to the veterans of the City of Auburn meets the criteria in Resolution 2555 Section 2. The Veterans Memorial Building in Veterans Memorial Park in Auburn, Washington shall be renamed the "William C. Warren Building," and a suitable memorial shall be placed at the building. Section 3. The Mayor is authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Section 4.
