Subject: Allegations
#1. You have quoted a newspaper. Do you have recordings of what I said at hearings. I
attended several hearings in Kent and spoke to several issues. Do you have transcripts: of 'my
testimony and the date of an executive session at which I was informed of a lawsuit over a
projecf a called Verdana. The Verdana lawsuit had nothing to do with anything me or the
people I know talked about at those hearings. Any information used for my testimony at those
hearings was taken from handouts given me by the City of Kent.
#2. I spoke with one Motel operator about a permit for a new motel in Auburn because I
suspected other motel owners in Auburn did not know a new motel might be built at the exit
off Hi Way #18. I was correct. The woman I talked to did not know it. I have no idea what she
did with the information I gave her. #3. I replied to an e-mail about ffth and.
R St NE. Indicated I had concerns about heavy traffic. She mentioned the city's concern for safety. At a March 22nd P/Works meeting Pablo said "we haven't had a lot of accidents out .
there'. My concern is elimination of left hand turns. ,
#4. I repeatedly told city employees unhappy with union contracts they should speak out
pu6licly because there wasn't anything I could do for them. One of our union contracts is so
complicated I'm still not sure I understand it. #5. Pete.
Lewis and Shelley Coleman, started forcing a no bid idea for garbage collection when Gene
Cerino was Chairman of Municipal services and I was on his committee. I was approached about
our garbage contracts long before it was discussed in executive session. I have no idea where
tliey got there information and don't care. I have always been open about my support for a bid
pr.ocess when we award city contracts. My conversation with a person from Kent was about cost
savings and the open bid process. Dan Heid told us that no matter which direction we went we
touid be sued. The threat of litigation was never about what I said to anyone about garbage
pick-up in Auburn. #6. If the people who
ele¢ted me wanted trained council members I would not be here. I attended an emergency
management class
and was told I didn't pass but was never told how I scored. The instructor rushed us through
so-Pete.could use the chamber room for an annexation celebration. The Boeing Company trained
me in First Aid Small Fire Control CPR and Evacuation Procedure. My city issue emergency kit
is beside my back door my own'is under my bed and I have extra lights and a water supply in
the basement. I know which of my neighbours will need help and when we had a strong
earthquake I had sense enough to assess my own situation -first and stay put so if we had .
damage in Auburn I would not be in the way..I began my term by attending regional meetings
and events but soon realised we were doing little to conserve water were mowing down trees
for asphalt and houses and to many people were eating way to many meals at the expense of
taxpayers. I don't need training to know that when you let cops do 'off-duty' in City of
Auburn uniforms you better cover yourselves with a written contract. #7. People all over
town knew about how upset some of the M St and Harvey Road folks were over the city not
showing right of way boundaries. A project manager told me they weren`t marking ROWs because
they didn't want to get neighbours `in an uproar". The guy who lost parking spaces was
furious. I have no idea what he got for his ROW or what he wanted. People who lose.land to
capital, projects are often angry and•expect to be well compensated for their land. Whatever
deal the city made with some guy over his parking lot did not hinge on any conversation I had
with anyone.
#8. I spoke to Robert Whale about the Marvel property.at 12:02 on a Tuesday morning because
Pete-lewis told him we•were not going to take action after executIve session the night
before. Robert Whale wanted a story and I gave him one.
I begah my tenure on this council with every intention of working with others to insure that
our entire population is served. I don`t believe that any one of us are crooks but I do

disagree witfi.much of what has happened at'the hands of this administrafiion and I am not shy
about saying.so. I hope when the three of you are finished wasting my time and yours we can
go to work to fix some of*the problems we really have.

Re: Ordinance No. 6358 = Kendall Ridge Final Plat; Modification to Agenda Bill
Staff proposed a revision to Note 23 to require the school, impact fees be paid at building
issuance pursuant to Aubum City Code 19.02.070 rather than 'h paid to King County at
final plat approval and'/2 paid at building issuance. The City Council recently passed an
ordinance defemng impact fees for new residential development that includes school
impact fees. In order for #his project to have the option of deferring impact fees staff _
recommends Note 23 reads as follows:
School fees for Lots 1 through 106 inclusive within the City of Aubum
are subject to Aubum City Code 19.02.070..
. Lot 90 contains an existing residence
to remain and is therefore is exempt. Staff spoke with King County staff on April 4, 2011 and they did not have any objection to
the proposed revision to Note 23. •
