Administrative Recommendation:
City Council approve Final Pay Estimate No. 9 to Contract 10-01 in the amount of $3,657.50, for a total
contract price of $712,396.30, with Hoffman Construction, Inc. and accept construction of Project Number
CP0817, 2009 Sewer and Storm Pump Station Replacement, Phase A -Dogwood Sewer Station.
Background Summary:
The Phase A construction contract included decommissioning the existing Dogwood Sewer Pump Station
and replacing it with a new station that meets current standards. The new station includes measures to
reduce maintenance costs and improve safety including a backup generator, maintenance vehicle
parking, SCADA telemetry, safety fencing and bollards, and an improved underground access for the
station that includes fall protection. Phases B and C are for the Ellingson Sewer and White River Storm
Pump Stations respectively, and are separate contracts that are currently under construction.
The total Phase A costs are $1,343,812 which matches the amount currently allocated to the project from
the 431 Sewer Fund.
