CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING
Meeting Minutes of April 12, 2011
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Civil Service Commission was held on April 12, 2011 in Resource
Room #2 located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main Street, Auburn, WA. The
following members were in attendance.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Gene Cerino and Cyril Van Selus.
STAFF PRESENT: Police Chief Bob Lee, Assistant City Attorney Steven Gross, and Civil Service Secretary
Terry Mendoza.
ACTION:

Chairman Cerino called the meeting to order at 3:54 p.m.
Approval of the March 8, 2011 Civil Service Commission meeting minutes:
® Minutes were accepted as written. Motion by Member Van Selus; Chairman Cerino seconded.
Approval of the April 7, 2011 Entry Police Officer Eligibility list:
• Eligibility list approved. Motion by Member Van Selus; Chairman Cerino seconded.
Approval of the April 7, 2011 Lateral Level Police Officer Eligibility list:
• Eligibility list approved. Motion by Member Van Selus; Chairman Cerino seconded.
Approval of the April 8, 2011 Police Records Specialist Eligibility list (*Note-correct title is Police Services
Specialist). This was approved to extend the 6-month eligibility of all candidates on the eligibility list:
• Eligibility and 6-month extension approved. Motion by Member Van Selus; Chairman Cerino
seconded.
UPDATES:
Terry Mendoza provided the following updates:
® Entry Level Oral Boards set for April 22, 2011
• There are currently (4) lateral police officer candidates in the background process.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the Commission, the meeting adjourned at 3:59 p.m.
