CALL TO ORDER The special meeting of the City of Auburn Council was called to order by Mayor Bob Roegner at 5:30 p.m. in the City of Auburn Council Chambers. A. Flag Salute Mayor Roegner led those in attendance in the pledge of allegiance. B. Roll Call Those in attendance included Mayor Bob Roegner and Councilmembers Whittall, Wagner, Larson, Roland, Brothers, and Kurle. Councilmember Burns was excused. Staff members in attendance included Police Captain Bill Pitzl, Police Lieutenant Marion Dukes, Fire Chief Bob Johnson, Parks & Recreation Director Len Chapman, Assistant Parks Director Dick Deal, Finance Director Pat Dugan, Personnel Analyst Ruth Moore, Public Works Director Frank Currie, Senior Engineer Dennis Selle, Senior Planner Lynn Rued, City Attorney Marguerite Schellentrager, and City Clerk Robin Wohlhueter. CONSENT AGENDA Mayor Roegner called on Public Works Director Frank Currie to comment on tonight's agenda. Frank Currie stated on July 5, 1990 bids were opened on Street Improvement No. 265 which is for the Stuck River Bridge Project. Due to the coordination of other governmental agencies and funding, the Council will tonight consider the recommendation of the State of Washington of Robinson Construction's Alternate No. 1 bid in the amount of $2,767,432.64 which is subject to acquisition of all necessary permits. Contract Administration Street Imorovement No. 265 Recommend Council award Contract No. 90-02, Street Improvement No. 265, Stuck River Bridge Replacement Project to Robinson Construction on their low Alternate No. I bid of $2,767,432.64, subject to acquisition of all necessary permits. Motion by Councilmember Larson, second by Councilmember Kurle to approved consent agenda items IV.A. through IV.C.1. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 6-0. V. OLD BUSINESS - None. VI. NEW BUSINESS -None. VII. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS A. Ordinances - None. B. Resolutions City Attorney Marguerite Schellentrager read the titles of each resolution aloud. 1. Resolution No. 2102 04.9.1 Street Improvement No. 265 A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Auburn to execute a consultant agreement with Sverdrup Corporation for PAGE 2 CITY-OF AUBURN COUNCIL MEETING July 9, 1990 construction management services relating to the replacement of the Stuck River Bridge. Motion by Councilmember Kurle, second by Councilmember Wagner to approve Resolution No. 2102. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 6-0. 2. Resolution No. 2103 04.9.1 Street Improvement 265 A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an Addendum II to the agreement with Sverdrup Corporation for design services for the Stuck River Bridge Project. Motion by Councilmember Kurle, second by Councilmember Wagner to approve Resolution No. 2103. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 6-0. VIII. MAYOR'S REPORT A. Executive Session Mayor Roegner announced there would be a brief Executive Session to discuss litigation. Mayor Roegner stated no action would be taken by the Council as a result of the Executive Session and recommended adjournment. IX. ADJOURNMENT 90M7-9 PAGE 3 There being no further business to come before the Auburn City Council, the meeting adjourned at 5:36 p.m.
