Mayor Roegner extended invitations to members of the Auburn City Council,
citizens of the City of Auburn, and staff inembers to join in celebrating the
IOOth Anniversary of the Loyal Order of Moose on Sunday, February 14, 1988 fran

Mayor Roegner informed the Council that Kathleen Clyde submitted a lett,
requesting reconsideration of the Hearing Examiner's decision, therefore, tl

B. Planning 6c Carmunity Development
Chairman Burns stated Lhe Planning dc Cannunity Development Camiittee met on Jenuary
26, 1988 and the minutes are of public record. The next Planning & Camnunity
Develo�nent Camnittee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 9, 1988 at 7:30
p.m.
C. Public Works
The Public Works Chairman, Bud Larson, stated this cortmittee has not met since the
last Council meeting. The next meeting of the Public Works (',ormiittee will be held
on February 4, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. Bud Larson mentioned the minutes of the January
20, 1988 Council Comnittee on Camiittees are of public record.
D. Finance
Chairman Kurle reported the Finance Cormiittee met at 6:30 p.m. prior to the Council
meeting tonight to review two interfund loans, Ordinance 4264 setting petty cash
fund for the Golf Course, and claims and payroll. The next regular meeting of the
Finance (',ormiittee will be held prior to the Council meeting on February 16, 1988.

7'he Auburn City Council referred Application No. V-2-87 regarding vacating a
portion of a subdivision lying north of 7th Street N.E. to the Public Works
Carmittee at their Januery 18, 1988 regular meeting.
The Public Works (',amiittee will consider this application at their February 4, 1988
meeting. No action required by the Council at this time.

The Auburn City Council at its December 7, 1987 Council meeting referred this item �
to the Planning & Cannunity Development C',ormiittee for their review regarding the
request of Theron Torgerson to rezone from R-4 (Multiple Family Residential
District) to C-3 (Heavy Carmercial District) and Comprehensive Plan Map amendment
from High Density liesidentiel to Heavy Cortmercial Land Use Classification in the
vicinity of 4400 block, east of Auburn Way North.
The Planning bc (Jamwnity Development Comnittee wi ll consider this on February 9
1988 ut the request of the applicant.
C. Resolution No. 1809
The Auburn City Council at its December 21, 1987 Council meeting referre
Resolution No. 1809 to the Public Works Camiittee for review. Resolution No. 1809
perteins to a solid waste interlocal agreement with King County.
No action required by the City Council until the end of June.
D. Resolution No. 1810
The Auburn City Council at its December 21, 1987 Council meeting referred
Resolution No. 1809 to the Public Works C',amiittee for review. Resolution 1810
authorizes the Nlayor and City Clerk to execute a forum interlocal agreement with
ISing County that will consider issues of policy regarding terms and conditions of
the solid waste interlocal agreement entered into by the cities and towns located
with King County.
No action required by the City Council until the end of June.

The request of Don and Esther Hodson for a 12 lot single family preliminary plat to
be known as "Laus Deo" subdivision consisting of 2.70 acres zoned R-2 (Single
Family) and located on the north side of 29th Street S. E. in the S00 block. -
At the request of Kathleen Clyde, Mayor Roegner ascertained that Application N�
33-R7 would be considered by the (',ouncil at e later date once reconsideration o
the HeHring Examiner's decisi'on had been canplete.

the Auburn Centennial Comnission, defining duties and functions of the
carmission end establishing methods of appointing members to the comnission.
Motion by Councilmenber Burns, second by Councilmember Wisner to introduce and
adopt Ordinance No. 4263.

An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, creating a
new Auburn Codified City Ordinance Chapter 15.74 to be known as the Land
Clearing Ordinance.
Motion by Councilmember Burns, second by Councilmember Wisner to introduce and
edopt Ordinance No. 4266 and to include the following editorial changes: Line
one "B" The Clearing will not unreasonably create or contribute to erosion,
landslides, etc..."; Line 2"flooding, siltation or other pollution as
determined by the Public Works Department)..."; Line 22 "A performance bond or
similar device may be required, if necessary as determined by the City Engineer
to assure the....."; and Line 24 "The amount and duration of the bond....."

Section 19 of Auburn City Ordinance No. 2401 (November 3, 1969), as amended by

appointment of City Council Carmittee on C,amiittees and the powers thereof by
requiring said carmittee on camnittees to meet as needed comnencing with the
tirst regular City Council meeting in February, 1988.

A. Executive Session - Labor Negotiations
�Yleyor Roegner announced there would be an Executive Session for approximately
twenty minutes to discuss labor negotiations, and anticipated no action as a result
of the Executive Session.
