Meeting Minutes of luly 12, 2011
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Civil Service Commission was hetd on July 12, 2011 in Resource
Room #2 located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West,Main Street, Auburn, WA. The
foliowing members were in attendance.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Gene Cerino, Roger Thordarson and Cyril Van Setus.
STAFF PRESENT: Police Chief Bob Lee, Assistant City Attorney Steven Gross, and Civi1 Service Secretary
Terry Mendoza.
ACTION:
Chairman Cerino called the meeting to order at 3:38 p.m.
Approval of the lune 14, 2011 Civil Service Commission meeting minutes:
• Minutes were accepted as written. Motion by Chairman Pro Tem Thordarson; Member Van
Selus seconded.
Approvat of the lune 20, 2011 lateral Police Officer Eligibility list:
• Eligibility list approved. Motion by Chairman Pro Tem Thordarson; Member Van Selus
seconded.
Approval of the June 20, 2011 Entry Level Police Eligibility list:
• Eligibility list approved. Motion by Member Van Selus; Chairman Pro Tem Thordarson
seconded.
UPDATES:
The following updates were proyided to the Commission: ,
o The recruitment for Entry Level Potice Officer will open later this month with testing to begin in
August.
• Recently hired entry level Police OfFicer, Matthew McNabb, is scheduled to graduate from the ~
Basic Law Enforcement Academy on August 9.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the Commission, the meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
