CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING
Meeting Minutes of lune 14, 2011
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Civil Service Commission was held on June 14, 2011 in Resource
Room #2 located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main Street, Auburn, WA. The
following members were in attendance.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Gene Cerino, Roger Thordarson and Cyril Van Selus.
STAFF PRESENT: Police Chief Bob Lee, Assistant City Attorney Steven Gross, and Civil Service Secretary
Terry Mendoza.
ACTION:
Chairman Cerino called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m.
Approval of the May 10, 2011 Civil Service Commission meeting minutes:
~ Minutes were accepted as written. Motion by Chairman Pro Tem Thordarson; Member Van
Selus seconded.
Approval of the May 17, 2011 Lateral Police Officer Eligibility list:
• Eligibility list approved. Motion by Member Van Selus; Chairman Pro Tem Thordarson
seconded.
Approval of the May 31, 2011 Entry Level Police Eligibility list:
• Eligibility list approved. Motion by Chairman Pro Tem Thordarson; Member Van Selus
seconded.
U PDATES:
The following updates were provided to the Commission:
• Entry Level Police Oral Boards set for June 16-17, 2011
• Three (3) lateral police officers were recently .hired and come to us from agencies in Casa
Grande, AZ, Gold Beach, OR, and Kansas City, MO.
~ Sgt. deChoudens and Commander Lathrop will retire this month after 30 years with Auburn PD
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the Commission, the meeting adjourned at 3:39 p.m.
