Chair Peloza called the, meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. in Conference Room 3 on
. the second floor of City Hall, 25 Wesf Main Sfreet; Aubum WA. Members -

MOTION CARRIED: 2=0 IV. ORDINANCES-AND RESOLUTIONS (Action Items)
A. Resolution'Na 4720'' (Lee)
A Resolution of the City Council of. the Cify of Auburn, Washington,
formally accepting a grant from the State of Washington, Military
Departmenf in an amount not to exceed eighfy seven and one-half percent
(87:5%) of acfual ezpendifures' as reimbursement from the Fetleral ,
Emergency Management Agency and the ,State of V1lashingtqn -for '
expenses incurred by tFie Cify of Auburn during the January 2011 storm
event
- Member Partridge moved to forward Resolution No. 4720 to the full
Council for acceptance. Chair Peloza co;ncurred.

B. Resolution No. 4721* (Lee) A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
authorizing the acceptance of a grant.from the Washington Service Corps
to provide finro full-time members to the City of Aubum, and authorizing the
Mayor and Cify Clerk to execute the necessary agreements to accept said
members -
Member Partridge moved to forward Resolution No. 4721 as amended fo
the full Councif for acceptance. Chair Peloza concurred.
MOTION CARRIED: 2-0 V. INFORMATION ! DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Solid Waste Contract Implementation* (Coleman)
Solid Waste & Recycling Coordinator Joan Nelson provided a timeline for
the City of Aubum Solid Vllaste contract implementation with V1laste
Management as it relates to billing, outreach:and operations: Also
proVided was a more detailed summary of ttie options and implementation
schedule including the vendor's transition to comptessed nafural gas
equipment and commercial and multi-family complex communications,
" interaction and audits.
B: . Resolution No. 4722 - WSDOT Airpoit Aid Application* (Goleman)
A Resolution of the City Council of the Gity of Aubum, Washington, .
authorizing the City to apply for State grant funds in the atiiount of
$9,895.00 from the Washington State Department of Transportation to
rehabilitate the airport apron; update the airport master plan and to
improve airport drainage and erosion control, and authorizing the
execution of the grant agreement therefor
Airport Manager Garcia and Finance Director Coleman requested that the
Committee take action on this item as the grant` application pcocess now
requires the fomial support of the City prior to the awarding of'the grant.
Member Partridge moyed to fonrvard Resolution No. 4722 to the full
Council for acceptance. Chair Peloza concutred.
MOTION CARRIED: 2-0
C. Matrix*
The Matrix was amended to reflect a January 2012 review date for the
Police Chaplain's program.
