Public Works Committee recommend City Council award Small Works Contract No. 11-15, to Lloyd
Enterprises, Inc. on their low bid of $141,169.50 plus Washington State sales tax of $13,411.10 for a total
contract price of $154,580.60 for Project No. CP1109, 2011 Storm Pipeline Repair & Replacement
Background Summary:
This project will construct storm drainage conveyance improvements at various locations throughout the
City at the following locations: 37th St NW Outfall, 36th St SE, and Academy Dr SE. Improvements
include replacement of 400 linear feet of 12-inch diameter storm culvert pipe (Academy Dr SE), installing
a 48-inch diameter catch basin with sluice gate (37th St NW Outfall), and construction of a new catch
basin with 54 linear feet of storm pipe (36th St SE). Also included in the project is 50 tons of asphalt
pavement repair, 40 square yards of cement concrete driveway approaches and restoration/replacement
of disturbed landscaping.
A project budget contingency of $169,632 remains in the Storm Drainage Fund.

Public Works Committee recommend Council grant permission to enter into an agreement with Utilities
Services Inc. Co. to install a new pump and related appurtenances and perform routine maintenance and
inspection at Well 4.
Background Summary:
The vendor will remove the existing pump, column piping, shaft, bearing, cone strainer and related
appurtenances and conduct routine maintenance and inspection of the well as needed. The vendor will
install a new pump, column piping, shaft, bearing, cone strainer and related appurtenances to bring Well
4 back into service.
The Not-to-be-Exceeded cost for this agreement is $75,000.
