CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING
Meeting Minutes of October il,2011
The regularlyscheduled meeting of the Civil Service Commission was held on October 11, 2011
in Resource Room ri2 located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main Street,
Auburn, WA. The following members were in attendance.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Roger Thordarson and Cyril Van Selus.
STAFF PRESENT: Police Chief Bob Lee, Assistant City Attorney Steven Gross, and Civil Service
Secretary Terry Mendoza.
ACTION:
Chairman Pro Tem Thordarson called the meeting to order at 3:36 p.m.
Approval of the September 13,2011 Civil Service Commission meeting minutes:
• Minutes were accepted as written. Motion by Member Van Selus; Chairman Pro Tem
Thordarson seconded.
Approval of the September 19, 2011 Entry Level Police Eligibility list:
• Eligibility list approved. Motionby Member Van Selus; Ghairman Pro Tem Thordarson
seconded.
Appcoval of the September 20, 2011 Lateral Police Eligibility list:
• Eligibility list approved. Motion by Member Van Selus; Chairman Pro Tem Thordarson
seconded.
Approval of the May 6, 2011 Police:Services Specialist Eligibility list extending it for an
additional six months:
• Eligibility list eztension approved. Motion by Member Van Selus; Chairman Pro Tem
Thordarson seconded.
It was requested that the December Civil Service Commission Meeting be rescheduled to the
first Tuesday of the month —December 6; 2011—to accommodate the Promotional Testing for -
Police Sergeant being conducted December 13-16, 2011. The rescheduled date has been
agreed upon by the VRFA Administrator, as well.
• Request approved. Motion by Member Van Selus; Chairman Pro Tem Thordarson
seconded. The City C/erk's office will be notified so thot the appropriote notrfications cbn
be disseminated.
