Call to Order, Introductions,Approval of Minutes President Roland President Roland call tlie meeting to order with a update on museum fimd raising efforts, as well as a review of museum calendar with emphasis on the opening of Mary Olson Farm. May 2011 minutes were approved as submitted, � II. Committee Reports A. Finance Committee Treasurer Beyersdorf The treasurer reviewed the revenues and expenses for May. Patricia Cosgrove discussed the updates reported in Other People's Money. B. Collections Committee Jamie Bothell Jamie Bothell provided a written report outlining committee business and acquisitions which he orally reviewed for the board The next meeting is August 8. C. PR Committee Tom Campbell Rachel Buirum sfiared information regarding Facebook connection distinguishing between being part of a.`group' and `like' status. `Like' suiu our museum PR goals. The committee did not meet tlus month. D. Fducation&Evenu Committee Mike Miller Farm Opening!!! - Mike discussed multiple aspects of the upcoming event. Patricia Cosgrove thanked Mike for his extensive personal and professional support of this pmject. E. Halloween Costume Ball Committee Ronnie Beyersdorf/Kim Perry This committee met o,n June 6th; a productive meeting with a keen focus. A basket list was distributed suggesting theme for donarions by boazd members. Rewardslrecognirion was provided for those members who have commiued and funded their attendees. Ronaie BeyersdorF leads the pack of event promoters and a challenge is before the board to meet or beat lus efforts on behalf of the museum. Key componenu include silent auction,prograrn ads,ticket sales and sponsorships. III. Staff Report A. Requests for volunteers to staff the Mary Olson Farm opening and the 4t6 of July were eactended to the board. Expecta6ons and duties for docent volunteers were reviewed with the following key points; meeting, greeting, &guiding. B. Progress on the Mary Olson Farm was reviewed.
