Place: City Hall Annex Building, Conference Room1, Second Floor
A motion was made and seconded to accept the Minutes of the October 191h, 2011 meeting.
Old Business:
Master Plan Review: Bill Thomas, Economic Development Advisor for the City of Auburn, gave a summary on the
economic study he did regarding business growth around the Auburn Municipal Airport. Future possibilities for
growth included utilization of property at the south east corner of the airport, developing acreage on the west side or
possibly a corporate center at the south end. A suggestion was made to consider moving the airport to another
location. After a brief discussion it was determined that relocating the airport is not financially feasible. Mr. Garcia
stated he had met with the Puget Sound Economic Council who was compiling a study regarding growth and direction
of airports in the Puget Sound area. A sub - committee meeting to gather ideas to incorporate into the Master Plan is
set for November 301h, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. City Hall Annex Building, Conference Room 2, second floor.
Storm Water Catch Basin: Mr. Shipman reports that twenty (20) deteriorating catch basins have been repaired at
the airport.
Aircraft Sale: The aircraft auction for non - payment of airport fees is complete and payment received by the City of
Auburn.
New Business:
AAB Board Members terms expiring: Wayne Osborne's term will expire January 1, 2012. A new member will be
needed for the Advisory Board.
A review and update to the matrix was conducted.
