HomeMy WebLinkAboutCP1118&CP1119 RFP AdvertisementH:\PROJ\CP1119-AWS Fir to Hemlock\Consultants\Consultan t Selection\RFP Documents\CP1118&CP1119 RFP Advertisement.doc City of Auburn Request for Proposals Project CP1118 – Auburn Way South Pedestrian Improvements, Dogwood St SE to Fir St SE and Project CP1119 – Auburn Way South Corridor Improvements, Fir St SE to Hemlock St SE The City of Auburn is soliciting Proposals from qua lified consulting teams to provide professional services for the design, permitting, r ight of way acquisition, and potentially construction assistance for two projects located on Auburn Way South, Project CP1118 – Auburn Way South Pedestrian Improvements, Dogwood S t SE to Fir St SE, and Project CP1119 – Auburn Way South Corridor Improvements, Fi r St SE to Hemlock St SE. The City will select one consultant to provide professional services for both projects. It is the City’s inten t to enter into separate consultant agreements for ea ch project and to have separate plans, estimates and specifications prepared for each proj ect. The projects involve road, signal, storm drainage, transit and pedestrian improvements to ap proximately 1/3 mile of Auburn Way South (SR-164), a state route and major arterial. Projec t CP1118 is funded by state, federal and local monies and Project CP1119 is funded by the Transpor tation Improvement Board and a local match provided by the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe. Th e projects total costs are estimated to be $3,973,830 and it is anticipated that they will fo llow the same schedule, with design beginning in the Spring of 2012 and construction being comple ted in 2013. The lead consultant shall have: 1. Obtained WSDOT approval of at least two channeli zation plans within the last 5 years; and 2. Have experience with at least one roadway design on an arterial street with a total project cost of at least $3,000,000 within the last 3 years ; and 3. Have experience on at least two projects involvi ng property acquisition within the last 3 years; and 4. Have experience with TIB’s Value Engineering req uirements or a similar value engineering study within the last 5 years. Six (6) copies of the Proposal Package must be subm itted on or before 4:00 pm, Tuesday, February 7, 2012, to the City of Auburn Public Work s Department, 25 West Main, Auburn, WA 98001. Proposals shall be sent in a sealed envelop ed and clearly marked: “Proposal – CP1118/CP1119 Auburn Way South Improvements Project s” in the lower left corner. TERMS AND CONDITIONS The City of Auburn reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals and to waive irregularities and informalities in the submittal and evaluation p rocess. This solicitation for Consultant Services does not obligate the City of Auburn to pa y any costs incurred by respondents in the preparation and submission of a Proposal. This sol icitation does not obligate the City of Auburn to accept or contract for any expressed or implied services. Furthermore, the City of Auburn reserves the right to award the contract to the nex t most qualified Consultant if the selected Consultant does not execute a contract within thirt y (30) days after the award of the proposal.
