HomeMy WebLinkAbout2695 (2) 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 6 9 5 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, 3 WASHINGTON, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO 2602 PASSED JANUARY 17, 1995, AND DESIGNATING THE MEMBERS, POWERS, DUTIES AND MEETING 4 TIMES AND DAYS OF ALL STANDING COMMITTEES OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN 5 6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, IN A 7 REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS 8 Section 1. Auburn Resolution No 2602 dated January 17, 9 1995, is hereby repealed 10 Section 2 . The Standing Committees of the City Council 11 for the City of Auburn, Washington for the year 1996 are as 12 follows: 13 A. PUBLIC WORKS RICH WAGNER (Chair) , TRISH BORDEN 14 (Vice Chair) , and FRED POE (member) 15 SCOPE: Makes recommendations to the City Council as a whole on policies 16 relating to utilities, storm drainage, streets and policy matters 17 involving construction and private building inspection. This Committee 18 will coordinate equipment rental matters with the Finance Committee 19 B FINANCE: JEANNE BARBER (Chair) , STACEY 20 BROTHERS (Vice Chair) , and FRED POE (member) 21 SCOPE In addition to the normal monitoring 22 of the financial expenditures of the approved budget, this Committee will 23 24 25 26 Resolution No. 2695 December 26, 1995 Page 1 1 make recommendations to the City 2 Council as a whole on policies relating to personnel, municipal 3 court and legal 4 C PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: 5 TRISH BORDEN (Chair) , RICH WAGNER (Vice Chair) , and SUE SINGER 6 (member) . SCOPE: Makes recommendations to the City 7 Council as a whole on policies $ relating to land use planning, zoning, annexation, human services, 9 parks and recreation, arts, museum, library, senior center cemetery, 10 airport and golf course. 11 MUNICIPAL SERVICES: 12 STACEY BROTHERS (Chair) , SUE SINGER (Vice Chair) , and GENE CERINO 13 (member) 14 SCOPE: Makes recommendations to the City Council as a whole on policies 15 relating to police and fire, jurisdiction of all public buildings 16 for the maintenance and construction (exclusive of utility buildings) , 17 emergency planning, cable T V , and solid waste 18 MAYOR PRO TEM and COUNCILMEMBER-AT-LARGE: 19 JEANNE BARBER 20 Section 3. The Council Committee Chairman shall call 21 meetings and chair said meetings and cause minutes of said 22 meetings to be available in a timely fashion and shall 23 schedule at least one meeting per month. It shall be the 24 discretionary power of the Chairman of each Committee to 25 26 Resolution No. 2695 Deccmbcrr 26, 1995 Page 2 1 require any appointive or salaried City employee to attend 2 Committee meetings. 3 Section 4. Unless otherwise designated by the Chairman, 4 the day and time of the meetings of the Standing Committees of 5 the City Council of the City of Auburn shall be as follows: 6 A PUBLIC WORKS: 7 5 30 P M S Second and fourth Mondays of each month. 9 B. FINANCE: 10 7 : 00 P M 11 First and third Mondays of each month. 12 C. PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: 13 7 30 P M 14 Second and fourth Mondays of each month. 15 D. MUNICIPAL SERVICES: 16 4 : 30 P M. 17 First and third Mondays of each month. 18 Section 5. The Mayor Pro Tem shall serve as an ex 19 officio of all standing Committees of the City Council As 20 Mayor Pro Tem, Councilmember Barber will serve as an alternate 21 to all Council Committees. 22 Section 6.
