HomeMy WebLinkAbout2796 (2) 1 RESOLUTION NO 2 7 9 6 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO 2695 PASSED JANUARY 2, 4 1996, AND DESIGNATING THE MEMBERS, POWERS, DUTIES AND MEETING 5 TIMES AND DAYS OF ALL STANDING COMMITTEES OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN 6 7 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, IN A 8 REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS 9 10 Section1 Auburn Resolution No 2695 dated January 2 , 11 1996, is hereby repealed 12 Section 2 . The Standing Committees of the City Council 13 for the City of Auburn, Washington for the year 1997 are as 14 follows 15 16 17 A PUBLIC WORKS RICH WAGNER (Chair) , FRED POE (Vice Chair) , and GENE CERINO (member) 18 SCOPE Makes recommendations to the City 19 Council as a whole on policies 20 relating to utilities, storm drainage, streets and policy matters 21 involving construction and private 22 building inspection This Committee will coordinate equipment rental 23 matters with the Finance Committee 24 25 26 Resolution No 2796 January 7, 1997 Page 1 1 B FINANCE JEANNE BARBER (Chair) , STACEY 2 BROTHERS (Vice Chair) , and SUE SINGER (member) 3 4 SCOPE In addition to the normal monitoring of the financial expenditures of the 5 approved budget, this Committee will make recommendations to the City 6 Council as a whole on policies relating to personnel, municipal 7 court and legal 8 C PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT 9 10 TRISH BORDEN (Chair) , RICH WAGNER (Vice Chair) , and JEANNE BARBER 11 (member) 12 SCOPE Makes recommendations to the City 13 Council as a whole on policies relating to land use planning, 14 zoning, annexation, human services, parks and recreation, arts, museum, 15 library, senior center cemetery, 16 airport and golf course 17 D MUNICIPAL SERVICES 18 STACEY BROTHERS (Chair) , FRED POE (Vice Chair) , and TRISH BORDEN 19 (member) 20 SCOPE Makes recommendations to the City 21 Council as a whole on policies 22 relating to police and fire, jurisdiction of all public buildings 23 for the maintenance and construction (exclusive of utility buildings) , 24 emergency planning, cable T V , telecommunications and solid waste 25 26 Resolution No 2796 January 7, 1997 Page 2 1 2 MAYOR PRO TEM and COUNCILMEMBER-AT-LARGE 3 JEANNE BARBER 4 Section 3 . The Council Committee Chairman shall call 5 meetings and chair said meetings and cause minutes of said 6 meetings to be available in a timely fashion and shall 7 schedule at least one meeting per month It shall be the g discretionary power of the Chairman of each Committee to 10 require any appointive or salaried City employee to attend 11 Committee meetings 12 Section 4 . Unless otherwise designated by the Chairman, 13 14 the day and time of the meetings of the Standing Committees of 15 the City Council of the City of Auburn shall be as follows 16 A PUBLIC WORKS 17 5 30 P M Second and fourth Mondays of each month 18 B. FINANCE: 19 7 00 P M 20 First and third Mondays of each month 21 C PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT 7 30 P M 22 Second and fourth Mondays of each month 23 D MUNICIPAL SERVICES: 24 4 30 P M First and third Mondays of each month 25 26 Resolution No 2796 January 7, 1997 Page 3 1 2 Section 5 . Any outside work performed by City employees 3 shall be reviewed and approved according to procedures 4 5 established in Policy No 200-16, "Outside Employment " 6 , ection 6 . The Mayor Pro Tem shall serve as an ex 7 officio of all standing Committees of the City Council As 8 Mayor Pro Tem, Councilmember Barber will serve as an alternate 9 to all Council Committees 10 11 Section 7 .
