HomeMy WebLinkAbout2852 1 RESOLUTION NO 2 8 5 2 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, FIXING 7 30 P M ON JULY 7, 1997 AS THE TIME AND 4 DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL ON THE 1998- 2003 SIX YEAR TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM 5 6 WHEREAS, RCW 35 77 010 requires that the City of Auburn 7 annually prepare and adopt a comprehensive transportation 8 9 improvement program for each ensuing six calendar years; and 10 WHEREAS, RCW 35 77 010 requires the City Council to 11 annually conduct a public hearing to review the work 12 accomplished under each Six Year Transportation Improvement 13 Program, to determine current City street needs, and to adopt 14 15 a revised and extended comprehensive transportation 16 improvement program 17 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, 18 WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH 19 20 RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS 21 SECTION 1 . PURPOSE. The purpose of this Resolution is 22 for the City Council to set a time and date for a public 23 hearing on the 1998-2003 Six Year Transportation Improvement 24 25 26 Resolution No 2852 June 2, 1997 Page 1 1 Program, to review the work accomplished under the program, 2 and to determine current City street needs 3 4 Section 2 . NOTICE OF HEARING. The Council hereby 5 directs that a notice specifying the time and place of the 6 public hearing shall be published one time in a newspaper of 7 general circulation and the notice shall also be posted in 8 three public places Such public notice shall precede the 9 public hearing by at least 15 days 10 11 Egction 3 . PATE OF HEARING. Pursuant to the 12 requirements of State law, a public hearing on said 1998-2003 13 Six Year Transportation Improvement Program will be held on 14 the 7th day of July, 1997 at 7 30 p m in the Council Chambers 15 16 of the Auburn City Hall before the City Council All persons 17 interested in said Six Year Transportation improvement Program 18 may attend and testify at said hearing 19 Section 4 . AUTHORITY.
