A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
3 WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF AUBURN TO
EXECUTE THE PURCHASE OF TAX LOT PARCEL NOS 926280-0400 ,
4 926280-0405 , 926280-0410 , AND 926280-0415 AS OFFERED BY KING
5 COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON FOR BEAUTIFICATION AND UTILITY
PURPOSES

7 WHEREAS, on April 4 , 1997 the City of Auburn received an
8
offer to purchase said tax lot parcels, held in trust by King
9
County, as tax title property; and
10
11 WHEREAS, said tax lot parcels lie within the City of
12 Auburn ' s potential annexation area located adjacent to
13 Mountain View Cemetery; and
14
WHEREAS, City of Auburn departments, divisions and
15
sections have reviewed and commented on this offer to
16
17 purchase All responses have been favorable with
18 recommendations to proceed with the purchase of said tax lot
19 parcels; and
20
WHEREAS, City of Auburn departmental review recommends
21
the use of said tax lot parcels as a connection of future
22
23 beautification and utilities corridor, therefore benefiting
24 the public use and interests; and

WHEREAS, said tax lot parcels have previously been

2 through the tax foreclosure process thereby removing any and
3 all encumbrances including but not limited to liens,
4 judgments, assessments and taxation; and
5
WHEREAS, King County will convey said tax lot parcels to
6
the City of Auburn with a Tax Title Deed in consideration of
7
8 Six Hundred Ninety Dollars and no cents ($690 00) Said
9 consideration includes unpaid taxes of Ten Dollars and ninety-
10
two cents ($10 92) plus King County administration fees of Two
11
Hundred Thirty-five Dollars and no cents ($235 00)

13 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
14 WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH
15 RESOLVES THAT
16 Section 1 . The Mayor of the City of Auburn is hereby
17
authorized to execute said offer from King County, Washington,
18
19 to purchase Tax Parcel Nos 926280-0400, 926280-0405 , 926280-
20 0410 , and 926280-0415 for beautification and utility purposes,
21 in the amount of Six Hundred Ninety Dollars and no cents
22 ($690 00)

Section 2 . The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement

2 such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
3 out the directives of this legislation
