A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, PROVIDING FOR THE COMPENSATION FOR AN
ELECTED MUNICIPAL COURT JUDGE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1998
WHEREAS, Ordinance No 4809 established a sequencing to
conform to the state statute for elected municipal court judge by allowing a
two year appointment of the municipal court judge and to provide for an
elected judge to begin serving January 1, 1998
WHEREAS, Ordinance No 4815 provides for the elected Municipal
Court Judge beginning January 1, 1998
WHEREAS, Ordinance No 4521, Section 2.14 040, provides for the
salary of the municipal court judge shall be established through the
adoption of the yearly budget ordinance
WHEREAS, the election of a municipal court judge is slated for the
1997 fall election.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS

Section 1 Municipal Court Judge Compensation.
A. On and after January 1, 1998, the municipal court
judge annual salary will be established through the
adoption of the yearly budget ordinance per Ordinance
No. 4521
B. The compensation provided for in this section shall be
paid at $64,000 annually plus benefits for the
municipal court judge elected by voters of the city of
Auburn.
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out
the directives of this legislation.
