HomeMy WebLinkAbout2876 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 8 7 6 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL 4 AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF AUBURN AND KING COUNTY 5 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR THE PURPOSE OF SALE BY THE CITY OF AUBURN OF EIGHT (8) SURPLUS RADIOS TO KING COUNTY 6 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR THE PURPOSE OF UP-GRADING THE 7 EMERGENCY RADIO SYSTEM UTILIZED BY THE SEARCH AND RESCUE UNIT OF THE KING COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY 8 9 WHEREAS, Chapter 39 33 RCW entitled "INTERGOVERNMENTAL 10 DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY" provides for the sale of public 11 property by any municipality to any other governmental body, 12 13 including but not limited to other municipalities; and 14 WHEREAS, the City of Auburn Surplus Property Unit is 15 converting to surplus public personal property EIGHT (8) 16 radios, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and 17 incorporated herein by this reference; and 18 19 WHEREAS, King County Department of Public Safety has 20 indicated a willingness to purchase the surplus radio 21 equipment as described in Exhibit "A" for the amount of One 22 Hundred Dollars and no cents ($100 00) for each radio unit for 23 a total of Eight Hundred Dollars and no cents ($800 00) ; and 24 25 26 Resolution No 2876 October 1, 1997 Page 1 1 WHEREAS, King County Department of Public Safety has 2 indicated that it will be utilizing the surplused radios 3 described in Exhibit "A" for component replacement as part of 4 5 King County Department of Public Safety' s program to up-grade 6 its search and rescue emergency radio system NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, 8 WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH 9 10 RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS 11 Section 1 . The City of Auburn is authorized pursuant to 12 Chapter 39 33 RCW to sell public property to any other 13 governmental body, including Y. 5 but not limited to other 14 municipalities 15 16 Section 2 . The Surplus Property Unit of the City of 17 Auburn public personal property in the form of eight (8) 18 radios, described in Exhibit "A" to be converted to the status 19 of surplus property 20 Section 3 . King County Department of Public Safety has 21 22 indicated a willingness to purchase the eight (8) radios 23 surplused by the City of Auburn and described in exhibit "A" 24 for the amount of One Hundred Dollars and no cents ($100 00) 25 26 Resolution No 2876 October 1, 1997 Page 2 1 for each radio unit for a total of Eight Hundred Dollars and 2 no cents ($800 00) 3 Section 4 . and WHEREAS, Chapter 39 33 RCW entitled INTERGOVERNMENTAL DISPOSITION OF PROPERTY provides for the sale of public property by any municipality to any other governmental body, including but not limited to other municipalities ; and WHEREAS, AUBURN' S Surplus Property Unit is converting to surplus public personal property Eight (8) radios, described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference; and Intergovernmental Agreement-King County CITY OF AUBURN 9/29/97 {a-kcps} RESOLUTION NO 2876 Page 1 ADOPTED OCT 20, 1997 WHEREAS, KING COUNTY has indicated a willingness to purchase the surplus radio equipment as described in Exhibit A for the amount of One Hundred Dollars and no cents ($100 00) for each radio unit for a total of Eight Hundred Dollars and no cents ($800 00) ; and NOW THEREFORE, the parties agree as follows 1 AUBURN shall surplus eight (8) radios presently considered as public personal property of AUBURN; and KING COUNTY agrees to pay to AUBURN the sum of One Hundred Dollars and no cents ($100 00) for each of the eight (8) radios surplused by AUBURN, for a total of Eight Hundred dollars and no cents ($800 00) ;
