A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
3 WASHINGTON, REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2796 PASSED JANUARY 6,
1997 , AND DESIGNATING THE MEMBERS, POWERS, DUTIES AND MEETING
4 TIMES AND DAYS OF ALL STANDING COMMITTEES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF AUBURN

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, IN A
7 REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS
8 Section 1 Auburn Resolution No. 2796 dated January 6,
9 1997, is hereby repealed effective December 31, 1997
10 Section 2 . The Standing Committees of the City Council
11 for the City of Auburn, Washington for the year 1998 are as
12 follows

14 A PUBLIC WORKS RICH WAGNER (Chair) , FRED POE (Vice
15 Chair) , and GENE CERINO (member) .
16 SCOPE: Makes recommendations to the City
Council as a whole on policies
17 relating to water and sanitary sewer
utilities, storm drainage, streets
18 and policy matters involving
construction, building inspection,
19 engineering, and equipment
maintenance and operations. This
20 Committee will coordinate equipment
rental matters with the Finance
21 Committee and utility and streets
property matters with the Municipal
22 Services Committee

3 SCOPE: In addition to the normal monitoring
of the financial expenditures of the
4 approved budget, this Committee will
make recommendations to the City
5 Council as a whole on policies
relating to personnel, municipal
6 court and legal.
7 C PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT:
8 TRISH BORDEN (Chair) , SUE SINGER
9 (Vice Chair) , and PETE LEWIS
(member) .
10 SCOPE: Makes recommendations to the City
Council as a whole on policies
11 relating to land use planning,
12 zoning, annexation, human services,
parks and recreation, arts, museum,
library, senior center.

14 D MUNICIPAL SERVICES:
15 FRED POE
(Chair) , GENE CERINO (Vice
Chair) , and SUE SINGER (member) .

17 SCOPE: Makes recommendations to the City
Council as a whole on policies
18 relating to police and fire,
jurisdiction of all public buildings
19 for the maintenance and construction
(exclusive of utility buildings) ,
20 emergency planning, cable TV,
telecommunications, solid waste,
21 airport, golf course, cemetery, and
City real property transactions
22 including sale, lease, right-of-way
use, acquisition, and donations
23 This committee will coordinate
property transactions with other
24 appropriate Council Committees

1 MAYOR PRO TEM and COUNCILMEMBER-AT-LARGE
2 JEANNE BARBER
3 Section 3. The Council Committee Chairman shall call
4 meetings and chair said meetings and cause minutes of said
5 meetings to be available in a timely fashion and shall
6 schedule at least one meeting per month. It shall be the
7 discretionary power of the Chairman of each Committee to
8 require any appointive or salaried City employee to attend
9 Committee meetings
10 Section 4. Unless otherwise designated by the Chairman,
11 the day and time of the meetings of the Standing Committees of
12 the City Council of the City of Auburn shall be as follows
13 A. PUBLIC WORKS:
4 : 30 P M
14 Second and fourth Mondays of each month.
15 B. FINANCE:
6: 30 P M.
16 First and third Mondays of each month
17 C. PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT:
18 6 00 P.M
Second and fourth Mondays of each month.
19 D. MUNICIPAL SERVICES:
20 5 00 P M
First and third Mondays of each month.

2 section 5. Any outside work performed by City employees
3 shall be reviewed and approved according to procedures
4 established in Policy No 200-16, "Outside Employment"
5 Section 6. The Mayor Pro Tem shall serve as an ex
6 officio of all standing Committees of the City Council. As
7 Mayor Pro Tem, Councilmember Barber will serve as an alternate
8 to all Council Committees
9 Section 7 . The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
10 such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
11 out the directives of this legislation
