A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
3 WASHINGTON, FIXING A TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PETITION
FOR VACATION OF THAT PORTION OF "J" STREET SE (MAIN TO 210
4 STREET SE) , WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON

WHEREAS, Petition No V-02-97 requesting the vacation of
6
five (5) feet of street right-of-way along the west side of
7
"J" Street SE (Main to 2"" Street SE) , has been signed and
8
g filed with the City by the owners of more than two-thirds of
10 the property abutting upon that portion of unopened road
11 sought to be vacated; and
12 WHEREAS, RCW 35 79 010 requires the City Council to
13 schedule a public hearing on a petition requesting the
14 vacation of street right-of-way when the petition has been
15 filed with the City and signed by the owners of more than two-
16 thirds of the property abutting the proposed vacation;
17 NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
18 OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS
19 Section 1 . Pursuant to RCW 35 79 010, the City Council
20 acknowledges receipt of a petition to vacate five (5) feet
21 along the west side of the public street right-of-way known as
22 "J" Street SE (Main to 2°d Street SE) which is attached
23 hereto, designated Exhibit "1", and incorporated by reference
24 herein

1 Section 2 . The legal description of the street right of
2 way sought to be vacated is described on attached Exhibit "A" ,

and incorporated by reference herein

Section 3 . Pursuant to RCW 37 70 010 , the City Council
5
hereby schedules a public hearing on said petition to be held
6
on the 20`h day of July, 1998 at 7 30 p m in the Council
7
Chambers of the Auburn City Hall before the City Council All
8
persons interested in said petition may attend that hearing
9
Section 4 . Pursuant to RCW 35 79 020, upon passage of
10
11 this Resolution the City Clerk shall give twenty (20) days
12 notice of the pendency of the petition by posting written
13 notice in the manner required by the statute and as required
14 by City Ordinance
15 Section 5 . The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
16 such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
17 out the directives of this legislation

We, the undersigned, being owners of two-thirds or more of the real property abutting that portion of
land designated as public street right-of-way known as T Street SE (Main to 2nd Street SE) and more
