MINUTES

I. CALL TO ORDER
The Human Services Committee Meeting was called to order on Monday, June 11, 2012 at
2:00 p.m. at One Main Street, Auburn, WA.

II. AGENDA
• 2013-2014 Human Service Funding
o Community Services Project Assistant Kirsten Reynolds led the group through the
review process identiTying all areas each application was to be scored on. Binders
holding all applications, rating tools and additional information were handed out for
review
The funding available for Human Services programs is estimated at a total of
$485,000 (includes $60,000 of CDBG). All applications are reviewed through the
same process; City staff determines the most appropriate funding source. The City
of Auburn will not be releasing CDBG capital funding.
The City of Aubum's Human Service Committee, a citizen advisory group appointed
by the Mayor, will review the applications and prepare a recommendation for
funding. The Mayor and City Council will make the final funding decision as part of
their review and approval of the City of Aubum's Consolidated Plan and Annual
Action Plan. Funds will not be available to the selected agencies until after January
1, 2013 which is the start of the fiscal and program year
