Those in attendance included Councilmenbers Whittall, Larson,
Wisner , Walters, and Burns; Mayor Roegner; and P�rsonnel
Director , Gretel S loan.
Mayor Rcegner indicated the Council had requested four workshops
this year on the library, pay systems, financial update, and air-
port. This is the second of these workshops. After discussion
it was the genezal oonsensds the fiaance workshop would not be
necessary as the Council will get a lot of the financial infor-
mation just prior to budget preparation this fall . The airport
workshop will be scheduled in the fall.
Personnel Director , Gretel Sloan, went through the basic
oontracts for uniformed police personnel (the Auburn Police
Guild) , non-�miformed police personnel, Lieutenants (Teamsters
Local 117) , Firefiqhters (IAFF Local 1352) , Finance and Clerical
eaployees (Te�nsters Local 117) and O utside Workers (Teamsters
Local 117) . She provided Councilmembers with a matrix iden-
tifying benefit packages for each group.
Also discussed was the Price-Waterhouse salazy plan and the pro-
cess f or position upgrade or downgrade, civil service, and
depai,tment head unassic�ed salary structures.
The workshop adjourned at approximately 9 p. m.
