A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE 2001 KING COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN.
WHEREAS, RCW Chapter 70.95 requires local govemmerrt to plan with
regard to solid waste and requires that such plans be regularly updated; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Solid Waste Disposal Interiocal Agreement
befinreen King County and twenty-six cities in King County, King County agreed
to act as the planning authority to prepare a comprehensive solid waste
management plan; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 4413 adopted on February 6,
1990, the City adopted the 1989 King County Comprehensive Solid Waste
Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Regionai Policy Committee passed Resolution
RPC2001-0001A dated October 25, 2001, recommending adoption of the 2001
Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 The City of Auburn hereby adopts the 2001 King County
Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan as recommended by the
Regional Policy Committee through Resolution RPC2110-0001A.

Section 2. The City shall detertnine solid waste and recycling collection
rates by ordinance and not as set forth in the 2001 King County Comprehensive
Solid Waste Management Plan.
Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of
this legislation.
