" MOTION CARRIED WATER SUPT. REPORT ' The Water Supt. stated the City Treasurer had' a request tp meke. The Treesurer.. stated they are in need of a new billing machi.ne. They have two offers, one, the amount is over::.$5,000.- end' one is under $5,000. Eidal and wife. MOTION CARRIED The City Attorney stated the Water Dept. Mlscellaneous Equipment fund haa sufficient moneys to cover the cost of the back- hoe so there would be no need to trafisfer funds. OLD BUSINESS It ras moved by Petersen and 2nd by Kammeyer that the City Clerk be inst�ucted to retu�n the bid check of Feenaughty Machinery Co. �OTION CARRIED � � Councilman Geines stated the City Should have some committee wo�king against the possible merger by the �ailroads. ' The Mayor stated the Chamber of Commeree has been working on this and thst they have gone to Olympia to discuss this problem aith someone they feel will h6ve influence in discussing this probl m. here was considerabte discussion among the Councilmen about this p�oblem of the railroad merging. It was moved by Kammeyer and 2nd by Towner that the City Counc I go on �eco�d as being opposed to the merger and will assist the hamber of Commerce and railroad bootherhood orgainizations in trying to stop it. MOTION C�RRIED The City Attroney stated he had tried to locate the d9ed issue in IB78 for the Pioneer Cemetery from the Town of Slaught�r to three trustess. It was moved by Towner and 2nd by Pete�s� that the City Attorney be instructed to order out the necessary title insurance to Ibhe Pioneer Cemetery.
