AUBURN WASHINGTON TUESDAY DECEMBER 6 1960
Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Auburn,
held at 8:00 P.M, in the Council Chambers at the City Hall .
�he Meeting was called to order by Mayor Shaughnessy.
Councilmen Present: Aaby, Petersen, Kammeyer, Fitzsimmons,
Sonnemann, Toaner, Gaines
Councilmen Absent: None
Minutes of the previous meeting held November 15, 1960, aere
approved as mailed.
PUBLIC HEARiNG

BIDS '
Bids were received from the following for supplying the City
with gasoline for 1961 : Union Oil Co. of California bidding $.2525
per gal for Royal 76 and $.2125 per gal tor 7600; Shell Oif Co.
bidding $.245 for shell gasoline and $.285 for Super Shell .
These bids were referred to the Pu�ehasing Committee
Bids were �eceived f�om the following for supplytng the City
with diesel oil for 1961 : J. B. Fuel bidding 11 .2¢ per gal :
Heisserman Fuel Co. bidding $. 1175 per gal for PS200 and $3.63 per
ghl fo� 42 U.S, gallons for PS 300.

requesting the Meyor appoint a committee to coope�ete end essist
thei � committee in opposition to the proposed merger.
It was moved by Fitzsimmons and 2nd by Kammeyer that the Mayor
be instructed to take action on this request of the Chamber of
om�ree. �

PLANNING COMMISSION
The City Clark read a letter from the Auburn _Planning Commissi n
with their recommendatfons on the following petitions: Mr. W. H.
Benz to rezone from R-50 to RG be approved; Mr. E.L. Spencer to
rezone from R-60 to C- I be approved; Mr. C.D. Mynick to rezone
from R-60 to Special Property Use for Avairy be approved; The
Chruch of the Nazarene to rezone from R-50 to C- I be denied.
It was moved by Kammeyer and 2nd by Petersen that the Council
acdept the recommendations of the Planning Commission and the C1ty
- Atkorney be instruct�d,:to d�aft the neaessary o�dinances.

The City Clerk read' a letter ,from George Schuler submitting _
for approval the final payment due Rainier Asphalt Pavving Co.
for wo'rk done on F St. S.E. Amount due contractor $537.32.

Council accept the recommendations of the City Engineer and pay

• ichard Wolff, stating he has reviewed the proposals for chain link
encing a�d gates and recommends the bid be awarded to the San Jose
teel Co. , Inc. for a total amount of $ 1 ,573.00 plus tax. '

Councilman Sonnemann stated the committee has approved the bid
f Valley Motors for the Police Panel .
