Special meeting of the City Council of the City of Auburn,
held April 2, 1962 at the City Hali .
The meeting was .called to order by Mayor Shaughnessy.
Councilmen present: � Aaby, Lea, Sonnemann, Ga.ines, Fitzsimmon
and cetiring councilman, Fred Towner, �; . • . .
City Httorney Smythe adminis.tered the oath of office to
Ted Lea whose term of off:ice as Councilman at Iarge begins
April 2, 1962, and� to councilman-elect Alfred E. Knechte'I who was ,
appointed to fill the unexpired term of Councilman Fred Towner ,
whose resignation takes effect April 2, 1962.
After Lea and Knechtel had taken their oath of office, they t
were. seated and Mayor Shaughnessy on behalf of the council
welcomed them as mem6ers of the group.
Meeting_ was declared adjourned.
