' . : A cont�act was presented from McLean & Co. , Inc. of Tacoma agrseing to purchase I 000�000 of City of Auburn Wate� and Seaer Revenue Bonds at $97.Ob fo� each $100.00 par value, with bonds maturing as set forth in schedule from the year 1965 to 1993 at , . interest rates from 3.25 percent. to 4110. A $20,000.00 certified check aecompanied the affe�. It aas moved by Kammeyer and seconded by Sonnemann that the �,City �of Auburn accept the offer of McLean & Company, Inc. and the City Clerk. and Mayor be autfiorized to sign the cont�act. Woiff, Consulting Engineer for the City of Auburn Water Department ". showing amount due F�ank Coluccio Consturction Inc. as of December 13, 1962, on contract for work done on Outfall Line--Schedule I less IS percent retainage as $30,503.90. it was moved by Kammeyer, seconded by Aaby that Progress Estimate , No. 2 by Richard E. Wolff, consulting engineer, showing $30,503.90 due the Frank Coluceio Construction Co., Inc. for work on the - contract for Outfall Line--Schedule 1 , be approved. A copy of a lette� from the claim department of ou� liability insurance agent to Donald Rottle was read statEng that the City of Aubuen was not tegally liable for damage to his property es, , the result of a windstorm on October 12, 1962, and claim was denied. _ CLAIM OF AUBURN CONSTRUCTION CO. , INC. A ciaim for $2,311 .60 was submitted by Auburn Construction Co. , Inc. to the Couneii for approval and payment for const�uctiori of a ga�age building located on the cemetery property. t A letter from J. V. Lange, Building Inspector; stated that the garage building on the cemetery property had been constructed satisfactorly, and reeommended the City pay Auburn Construction �85% of the contract amount at the present time. It was moved by Kammeyer and seconded by Aaby that payment be made Auburn Construction Company in the amount of $2134.86 as reeommended by the City's .Building Inspector. FOR SUBMITTFNG PRELIMINARY P6AT A copy of a letter written to Eddie Ryan, Chairman of the Pf;anning Commission, by Alex Sonnichsen suggested a procedure to be followed by people submitting a p�eliminary plat to the Planning Commission. - . George Schuler, Planning Director, reported to the Council that the preliminary piat submitted to the Council by Alex Sonnichsen was approved after the suggested changes were made. Orock in the sum of $6.00 be denied. !lOTION CARRIED Councilman Lea reported that- the Street Committee had requested the Ministerial Ass'n to submit a plan for estabitshment of the - ' requested signs. It was moved by Lea and seconded by Fitzsimmons .that two hour parking be allowed in the first three stalis. on the west end of the north side of main street between E Street & F Street. MOTION CARRIED WATER COMMITTEE - Councilman Kammeyer reported that bids aere opened on Schedule"�.V the original and relocated portion as follows: FRANK COLUCCIO CONSTRUCTION $162,904.35 THORBURN & :LOGOZO $168, 193. 17 • He reported that the :bid was awarded to Frank Coluccio Construct.i"on 'at. $ 162,904.35. It mas moved by Kammeyer and seconded by Knechtel that the City Attorney be instructed to draw up the necessary Ordinance to establish the billings of the city water sewer & garbage accounts every tao months except those on master meters & �arge commerical aecounts.
