Approval of Minutes:
A motion was made and seconded to accept the Airport Advisory Board Minutes of June19, 2013.
Old Business:
Airport Management RFP- Two bids for the RFP have been received. Interviews are scheduled for Thursday, July
26t".
Engineering Consultant RFQ- Century West was recommended as the engineering consultant for the airport.
Discussion:
Advisory Meeting Day and Time - After a brief discussion, a suggestion was made to continue meeting at the current
day and time until February, then changing the day to Tuesday. It was also suggested that a temporary board member
be used as a substitute until Mr. Clearman can attend.
Open Discussion - Mr. Maiorca stated that Galvin Flying Company will be renting an office from Auburn Flight
Service and bringing two aircraft to the airport for flight training. Galvin Flying students partner with Green River
Community College for flight training.
Airport Hangar Open House Event - Mr. Maiorca has spoken with multiple condo association tenants and received
positive response about an open house /bbq /garage sale event this fall. An invitation to the community using a
banner was suggested.
Washington Aviation Conference Fall Event - Mr. Garcia gave an update concerning an aviation event at Emerald
Downs. The event, Stars of Aviation, is currently scheduled for October of 2014.
