A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, FORMALLY
ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE WASHINGTON
STATE MILITARY DEPARTMENT IN THE AMOUNT
OF FIFTY EIGHT THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED
THIRTEEN DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($58,413.00)
FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF
HOMELAND SECURITY EMERGENCY
MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE GRANT
PROGRAM, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY
AGREEMENTS TO ACCEPT SAID FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City created and maintains an active Emergency
Management Program; and
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Homeland Security makes
available Emergency Management Performance Grant monies to local
emergency management programs, and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Military Department, Emergency
Management Division has approved a grant of those monies to the City of
Auburn Emergency Management program.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS-
Section 1. Purpose. The City Council of the City of Auburn does
hereby accept the Washington State Military Department, Emergency
Management Division offer of a grant in the amount of Fifty Eight Thousand
Four Hundred Thirteen Dollars and no cents ($58,413 00) as the City's
allotment of annual Emergency Management Performance Grant monies.

Section 2. Implementation. The Mayor of the City of Auburn is hereby
authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary
to carry out the directions of this resolution.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect and be in
full force upon passage and signatures hereon.
