Stephen Hassen, 9 year old son of chair Michael Hassen attended the Ladies & 'Lil Gents' event on
October 5. He enjoyed the magician and the bounce house but wouldn't mind if the toddlers were in a
separate area during the magic show. He is hopeful they will raise the age to 9 so he can attend next
year. He had a great time!

The Halloween Harvest Festival will be held at Washington Elementary on Saturday, October 261H
The Halloween Harvest Ball which benefits the White River Valley Museum will be held October 19 from
6:00 pm — 11:00 pm at the Truitt Building downtown.
The 'Get Up & Get Out' summer program held at Olympic Middle School averaged 50 kids per day. It
was an older group of kids this year. When the program began two years ago we had 3 — 5 year old
children. This is a combined effort with the school district and we have a great staff of four with one being
bi- lingual. The YMCA has a similar program including more emphasis on education, while we focus
more on recreation.
