2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING
THE FINANCE DIRECTOR, WITH APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR, TO EFF.ECT.
3 INTERFUND LOANS AND REQUIRING RATIFICATION OF SUCH INTERFUND
IAANS AT THE NEXT REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING.

wHEREAS, the City Council is required to approve
5
6 interfund loans; and
WHEREAS, given the schedulinq of the Council Meetings,
7
interim authority subject to the Council's ratification is
8
necessary; and
9
wHEREAS, it is appropriate that such interim authority
10
be vested in the Einance Director with the approval of the
11
Mayor.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
13
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the
15 i
Finance Director, with the approval of the Mayor, to make
16
interfund loans which shall be subject to the ratification
17
18 of the City Council at the next regular City Council
19 Meeting. If at the next available City Council Meeting, the
2O City Council does not ratify and approve the interfund loan,
21 then the term of the loan will e�cpire as of the date that
22 the City Council disapproves the interfund loan.

2 Section 2 . The City Counci:l of the City of Auburn
3! hereby authorizes that Council action on such interim
4 interfund loans may be approved on the consent agenda of the
5 City Council. The City Council shall be authorized to
6 approve such interfund loans by motion as part of its.
� approval of the consent agenda.
$ Section 3 . The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry
9
out the directions of this legislation.

11 Section 4 . This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
i2 force five days from and after its passage, approval and
13 publication as provided tiy law.
