CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING
Meeting Minutes of March 11, 2014
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Civil Service Commission was held on March 11, 2014 in
Conference Room 3 located on the Second floor of 25 West Main Street, Auburn, WA. The following
members were in attendance.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Gene Cerino, Chairman Pro Tern Thordarson and Member Hurlbut
STAFF PRESENT: Chief Lee, Civil Service Secretary /Examiner Geri Hibben, Assistant City Attorney Doug
Ruth

Chairman Cerino called the meeting to order at 3:31 pm.
Approval of the February 11, 2014 Civil Service Commission meeting minutes:
• Motion to approve meeting minutes made by Member Hurlbut, Second by Chairman Pro Tern
Thordarson, Chairman Cerino concurs.
Motion approved.
Approval of the REVISED Entry Level Police Eligibility List:
• Motion to approve Police Specialist Eligibility List made by Member Hurlbut, Second by
Chairman Pro Tern Thordarson, Chairman Cerino concurs.
• Motion approved.
Approval of the REVISED Lateral Police Eligibility List:
• Motion to approve Police Lateral Eligibility List made by Member Hurlbut, Second by Chairman
Pro Tern Thordarson, Chairman Cerino concurs.
Motion approved.
Proposed Revision of Civil Service Rules
• Rule changes given to members for review by Assistant City Attorney Doug Ruth.
UPDATES /NEW BUSINESS:
• No new business.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to come before the Commission, the meeting adjourned at 3:44 pm.
