AN ORDIN~~CE: Relating to and fixing the oompensations to
be paid to the City Clerk, the City ~reasurer and certain other offioers
and employees of the City of Auburn, prescribing when and how such com-
pensatio~shall be paid, and amending Seotions 1, 2, and 6 of Ordinance
No. 771 of the Ordinances of the City of Auburn.
THE CITY COUnCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBUmT DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
~cl'ro~.t. That Section 1 of Ordinance !ro. 771 of the Ordinances of the
C~ yo Auburn be and the same hereby is amended so that, as amended,
said Seotion 1 shall read as follows:
"Section 1. Compensation of City Clerk.
That as oompensation for the servioes required by the laws
of the i:>tate of liashington and the ordinanoes of the City of Auburn to
be perfonned by the City Clerk of the City of Auburn, said City Clerk
shall reoeive the sum of $165.00 per month for the period beginning on
the first l.:onday in June, A.D. 1939 and thereafter; that such oompensation
shall be paid monthly on the first day of each month, next suoceeding
the month in whioh suoh services shall be performed by proper warrants
drawn upon the Treasurer of the City of Auburn."
SEOTION 2.That ~ection 2 of Ordinance No. 771 of the Ordinances of the
G~ty of Auburn be and the same hereby is amended so that, as amended,
said ~ection 2 shall read as follows:
"Section 2. Compensation of City Treasurer.
That as compensation for the services req.uired by the laws
of the .:.tate of "ashiI1€"':; n and the ordinances of the \J i ty of Auburn to
be performed by the City Treasurer of the City of Auburn, said City
Treasurer shall reoeive the sWa of 0150.00 per month for the period
beginnine on the first r.;onday in June, A.D. 1939 8..11.d thereafter; that
such compensation shall be paid monthly on the first day of each month
next suoceeding the month in which such servioes ~hall be performed by
proper warrants dravm upon the Treasurer of the City of Auburn; and that
.;:100.00 of said monthly compensation shall be paid from the water fund
and that ~50.00 of said monthly compensation shall be paid from the
current expense fund of the City of Auburn."
SECTION 3. That Section 6 of Ordi.nance No. 771 of the Ordinanoes of the
city of Auburn be and the same hereby is amended so that, as ronended,
said bection 6 shall read as follows:
"Section 6. Appointive Officers and ';""mployees.
That for the period beginning on January 1, 1939 and there-
after, the compensations to be paid by the City of Auburn to certain
other offiGersand employees of said City shall be as follows:
To the Chief of Polioe ------------$ 150.00 per month
To the ~seistant Chief of Police --- 140.00 per month
To one additional Dolioeman -------- 140.00 per month
To eaoh of two firemen heretofore
paid at the rate of 0115.00 per
month ---------------------------- 125.00 per month
