fu~ ORDDlfu~CE fi~ing the amounts of tax levies neoessary to raise
the amounts of the estimated expenditur~of The City of Auburn for the
year 1940, less the amounts of estimated revenues from souroes other
than taxation includinf available surplus, and such expenditures 'as
are to be met from bonds and uarrant issues, looal improvement guaranty
fund, for aoquisition and retirement of L.I.D. bonds of questionable
value, and the expenditur~for salaries and wages, maintenance, opera-
tion and capital outlay of and for the publio library of The City of
Aub urn, all for the year 1940.
'iJlIEREAS, The City Council of The City of Auburn has heretofore,
pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 158 of the ~ession Laws of the
state of \'lashington for the year 192;), and the Laws of said state
supplemental thereto and amendatory thereof, duly fixed and determined
Bepqrately eaoh item of the budget of The City of Auburn for the year
1940, and by ordinance duly adopted said budget as so fixed and deter-
mined;
NOVl, THEREFORE, in order to raise by general taxation the moneys
as provided for in said budget adopted by ordinanoe as aforesaid,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOVlS:

SECTION L That there be and is hereby levied upon all of the
real and personal property situate within the present corporate limits 1.
