Hmo:kins and Eva ll. F.avrkins, husband and wife, addreszed to tJJ.e.l.Iayor and C.ity Coun~;j.l of the City of Auburn, praying for the vacation of the alley hereinafter described; and rnDilllEAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn did at a special meeting thereof held on the 4th day of September, 1942, adopt a resolution fixing September 25th, i942, at the hour of 8:0'c10ck P. 1:. as the tke, and the City Hall of the City of Auburn as the place, when and \'Ihere spid petition v'ould be heard and determined; and V~AS, said special meeting was called for the purpose of considering and actlng upon the petition of se.id Roy M. Hawkins and Eva M. Hawkins, husband and wife, to vacate the alley herein- aft?r described; and WHEREAS, sClid p:etition was signed by the owners of all of the private property abutting upon said alley so pro~osed to be vacated; and WHEREAS, due notice of the pendency of said petition and of the time and place of said hearing thereof has been given in the manner prescribed by law, and proof by affidavit of the posting of notices of the ~~~ose. time and place of such hear- ing on the 25th day of September, 1942, in the manner prescribed by law, is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the city of Auburn; and r~s, at the time and place designated in said resolution and in the notices given and posted pursua~t thereto c.s aforeseid, said petition was brought on for heerbg before the City Council of the city of Auburn and persons wishing to be heard on said petition were givan an opportunity to be heard, and no persons haVing appeared in opposition thereto; THEREFORE, THE CITY COm;rCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN DO ORDAm AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That that certain alley extending in a northerly and southerly direction thru Block I of Ballard's commercial Addition to the City of Auburn, bounded on the east by Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 and on the TIest by Lot 5, all in Block 1, Ballard's Com- mercial Addition to the City of Auburn be and the same hereby is vacated. Section 2. That the alley and area so vacated shall be attached to the private property abutting thereon, as provided by la\'l. Introduced Sept 25, 1942. Passed September 25. 1942.
