ORDINANCE NO. 850
AN ORDINANCE, Adopting the Budget for the City of Auburn for
the year A.D. 1943.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 158 of
the Laws of Washington of the year A.D. 1923, and the Laws of the
State of Washington supplementary thereto and amendatory thereof,
the Mayor of the City of Auburn has heretofore duly oompleted and
p1aoed On file with the City Clerk of the City of Auburn a prelimin-
ary budget for the year 1943; that notioe was thereupon duly published
as required by law stating that the Mayor had oompleted and plaoed
on file suoh preliminary budget and that a oopy would be furnished to
any taxpayer who would call therefor at the office of the City Clerk
and that the City Council of the City of Auburn would meet on the
first Monday of October, 1942, at 7:30 P.M. for the purpose of fix-
ing the final budget and making tax levies and that any taxpayer
might appear at suoh meeting and be heard for or against any part of
suoh budget, designating the p1aoe of such meeting as the City Hall
in the City of Auburn, King County, Washingtonj that the Mayor of
the City of AUburn duly provided a suitable number of oopies of
such detailed preliminary budget to meet the reasonable demands of
tax-payers therefor; that the Mayor and the City Council of the City
of Auburn duly met at the time designated in said notice at the City
He,ll"in the City of Auburn on Ootober 5, 1942, at 7 :30 P.M.; that
any and all taxpayers of the City of Auburn were given full opportu-
nity to be heard for or against such budget; that at said meeting
said budget was considered oareful1y, item by item and that at the
conclusion of suoh hearing said City Council on said fifth day of
Oabber, 1942, duly fixed and determined eaoh item of said budget
separatelY, and that the items of expense so fixed and determined
and now here adopted by this ordinance are as follows, to-wit:
