3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OE AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
CODIFIED CITY ORDINANCE 13. 20.440 ENTITLED FEES AND CHARGES TO
4 INCORPORATE THE METRO RATE INCREASE FOR SEWER CHARGES.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
6 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
� Section 1. The purpose of this amendment is to
8 incorporate a rate increase by Metro for 1991 sewer charges
9 into the monthly sewer rate for Auburn residents.
10 eection 2 . Section 13 . 20.440, entitled "Fees and
11 charges" of Chapter 13. 20 of the Auburn City Code, be amended
12 as follows:

14 EBfective the first billing of January, 1991, the monthly
sewer rates for Auburn residents will be as follows:
15 Single family residence inside city limits

2 Nonsingle-family accounts will be allowed
3 to average winter water consumption for the
4 months of December through April to determine
5 the summer sewer rates for the months of June,
s July, August, and September. Said allowance
� shall be upon application and with appropriate
8 justification that additional summer usage does
9 not enter �the sewer system.
10 Nonsingle-family accounts without city
11 water service shall be charged at , the
12 applicable rate above inside-the-city or
13 outside-the-city rate pe= one hundred cubic
14 feet after the minimum nine hundred cubic feet.
15 The customer shall have installed • a city
16 supplied water meter or other acceptable means
1� of recording use, by applying for a permit
18 under Section 13 .04 . 110, which shall be read by
19 the watei department to determine sewage
2O charges on private systems.

6 Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement

9 Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
10 force five days from and after its passage, approval and
11 publication as provided by law.
