Review of April 2014 Minutes: April 2014 minutes were moved for approval. Old Business: � Budget 201S/2016 — In September, a two year budget will be approved by the city council. No changes for the cemetery per Daryl Faber. I ` 6ti0ps Meadow —AG acre parcel on the west end of the cemetery isa private development ofhomes. The retention pond in place will help with water runoff and allow for the cemetery property nearby to have better drainage. |rhgatnnVVaterRotes — RateshaveincneusedaQain. The facilities fund is currently paying for cemetery irrigation, but Craig is monitoring rates for any discrepancies. Possibility of servicing awell isin the talks. Strict regulations may be the deciding factor on any future progress with the well. New Business: Cemetery Buyback Policy -There are currently two selling options for cemetery property landowners. They can sell the property privately or the can sell it back to the cemetery. The cemetery policy is to purchase any land at75%of the original purchase price. Craig is considering ano buyback option ifthe land is not desirable; for the best interest of the cemetery. Owners would still have the option of privately selling it, passing itonto family or donating it. Adding aby line tn the current policy will be forwarded Dan and proper documentation will be brought back to the cemetery board for approval. Cemetery Board Meeting August 12, 2014 Replace Trees Lost to Stipps Meadow Development - Installation of sewer lines and drainage lines in the right of way has caused concern because of the removal of trees.'It has caused a view corridor. To create another greenbelt, the planting of fast growing trees may be an option. There is a possibility of adding a fence if necessary. On the plus side, large landscape boulders from the construction site were moved onto cemetery property for future use.
