Announcements, Appointments, and Presentations 3. Independent Salary Commission City Council to approve the following appointments to the Independent Salary Commission. Per Ordinance No. 6504 which establishes the Independent Salary Commission, the first five commission members shall be appointed for different terms, as follows: One Year Term: Terry Hurlbut — appointed to serve a one year term expiring December 31, 2015. Two Year Term: Ronald Beyersdorf - appointed to serve a two year appointment expiring December 31, 2016. Three Year Term: Nancy Colson — appointed to serve a three year term expiring December 31, 2017. Four Year Term: Cindy Gonzalez — appointed to serve a four year term expiring December 31, 2018. Isaiah Johnson — appointed to serve a four year term expiring on December 31, 2018. VIII. Resolution No. 5111* (Peloza/Snyder) A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, authorizing the Mayor to negotiate and execute interlocal agreements between the City of Auburn and King County and the Cities of Bellevue, Federal Way, Issaquah, Kent, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Redmond, Renton, Seattle and Tukwila for the establishment, implementation and operation of the Puget Sound Emergency Radio Network System (PSERN CITY OF_ g�B4U� AGENDA BILL APPROVAL FORM r WASHINGTON Agenda Subject: Resolution No. 5111 Date: November 14, 2014 Department: Community Attachments: Budget Impact: $0 Development and Public Works Administrative Recommendation: Public Works Committee recommend that City Council adopts Resolution No.5111 Background Summary: On November 11, 2014, a tree fell at the intersection of Kersey Way and Oravetz Road striking the span wire signal and causing damage to the traffic signal system and breaking a traffic signal pole. Resolution No. 5111 declares and confirms a determination of emergency that allows the Mayor to negotiate and enter into contracts with qualified contractors to repair the damage because there was not sufficient time to enable the City to go through the normal purchasing and contracting process. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows: Section 1. The City Council finds an emergency exists in connection with the need to repair the traffic signal at the intersection of Kersey Way and Oravetz Road, and there is not sufficient time to enable the City to go through the normal purchasing and contracting process. That the Mayor is authorized to negotiate and enter into contracts with qualified contractors and construction service providers to effect the repair of traffic signal at the intersection of Kersey Way and Oravetz Road, and that any action taken in furtherance thereof is hereby ratified.
