i President kjnn Perry called the meeting atthe Mary Olson Farm barn to order and asked if
everyone had a chance to read the minutes. They were passed as sent, unanimously.
For the Museology 101 segment of the meeting, Director Patricia Cosgrove shared City of Auburn
drafted plans for renovating Les Gove Park. These plans C8U for closing Deal Way and creating
three access points into the then a}|-pedestrian park. Many of the proposed improvements
will benefit the Museum by increasing its visibility and access.
Board members reviewed 8 sketch of proposed Museum renovations created by architect Alan
Keinnig--vvho is generously volunteering his services. Proposed renovations include removal of
the large concrete wing wall at the Museum entry—a change made to open the lobby to view
and discourage vagrants using this Museum porch as an Overnight resting spot. New glass doors,
sidewalks and landscaping would direct foot traffic from an improved parking lot on Auburn Way
South. Some uF these improvements will b2 the responsibility of the City, others of the Society.
All changes to the Museum building and associated signage and artwork must be born by the
Society. Sidewalks, parking and landscape work will fall within the City's park renovation budget
and nD schedule for that work has yet been made.

sending in a proposal tothat new fund. Board members reviewed the plans, discussed problems
of vagrants and graffiti in the Park and the overall budget for Museum renovations. Michele
