I. Call to Order
The Urban Tree Board met at Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation at 2:00 pm.
Tree board members attending were Chair Bryce Landrud, Members: Marsha Goodwin, Brooksie Donna
Hall, ]an Speer and James Tourangeau. Also present at the meeting were Parks Planning & Development
Manager Jamie Kelly, Parks Horticulturist Richard Valenti and Parks Secretary ]ulie Mehl.
II. Minutes
The board reviewed/approved minutes for August, September and October 2015.
III. Correspondence/Public Input
]amie Kelly reports we should be receiving the tree inventory data soon. We will incorporate the data
into our GIS program.
Bryce Landrud reports the 2014 Heritage Tree at GSA blew over in a recent wind storm.
IV. Old Business
Bruce Alverson, owner of the Sunbreak Cafe was happy with the letter Chairman Bryce Landrud sent in
support of the tree near the Sunbreak Cafe.
Horticulturist Richard Valenti reports the trees near the Sound Transit Station did not have to be
removed. The grates were modified to accommodate the growing trees.

VII. Department Report
Richard Valenti reports that il cottonwood trees will be removed at Isaac Evans park. The location of
the playground will be changed as well.
Richard has drawn up a landscape plan for an area near 17`h St SE.
VIII. Adjournment
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:00 pm.
