z AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL Of THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
AUBURN CODIFIED CITY ORDINANCE 5.88.040 TAX - LEVY REDUCING THE UTILITY
3 TAX FROM THREE PERCENT TO TWO PERCENT.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Auburn Codified City Ordinance 5.88.040 Tax - Levy is hereby

amended to read as follows:

"5.88.040 Tax - Levy.

From and after ((d�nnarp-�-�982�)) February 1, 1983, there is levied
9
upon and there shall be collected from every person, firm or corporation
10
engaged in carrying on an electric power business, natural gas business
11
and/or artificial gas business for hire within or partly within the city
12
limits an annual tax for the privilege of so doing, such tax to be equal
13
14 to ((�mee)) two percent of the total gross revenues received from the
15 operation of such businesses within the city limits."
Section. 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administra-
16
tive procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this
17
legislation.

19 Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
20 from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
