2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, PRO�IDING FOR THE REZONING OF
3 A PARCEL OF PROPERTV FIVE ACRES IN SIZE LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF "B"
STREET N.W. IN THE 4200 BLOCK, WITHIN THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON,
4 CHAN6ING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION THEREOF FROM
UNCLASSIFIED TO M-1 (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL).

6 WHEREAS, a petition has been submitted to the Council of the City of
7 Auburn, Washington, by ERIC STROM, requesting the rezoning of the real pro-
g perty hereinafter described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, which petition was
g dated June 1, 1982; and
10 WHEREAS, said request above referred to, was referred to the Planning
11 Commission by the Auburn City Council for study and public hearing thereon;
12 and
13 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission based upon staff review, held a public
14 hearing to consider said petition in the Council Chambers of the Auburn City
15 Hall, on July 7, 1982, at 7:30 P.M. , at the conclusion of which the Planning
16 Commission recortonended the approval of the rezoning of the said property based
17 upon the following findings of the Department of Planning and Community
18 Development, to-wit:
19 1. Consistent with comprehensive plan.
20 2. Consistent with existing zoning in the area.
27- 3. "B" Street has recently been improved and utilities extended to just
south of the property.

4. A light industrial development is being constructed to the south.

�1HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, held a public hearing in
24
the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, at 8:00 P.M, on August 2, 1982,
25
at which time the rezone matter was tabled pending approval of the Strom
26
Annexation; and
27
28 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn, held a public hearing in
29 the Council Chambers of the Auburn City Hall, at 8:00 P.M. on December 6,
1982, at which time the City Council concurred with the findings of the

1 Department of Planning and Community Development and Planning Commission as
2 hereinabove stated; and
3 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO
4 ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: .
5 Section l. That the followirig legally described property five acres in
6 size located on the east side of "B" Street N.W. in the 4200 block, situate in
7 the City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington, be and the same is
8 hereby rezoned from Unclassified to M-1 (Light Industrial ), to-wit:
9 Lot 20, White River Valley Home Tracts according to Volume 13 of Plats,
page 17, Records of King County, WA, sit in Sec 36, Twp 22 N, R 4 EWM
10 City of Auburn, County of King, State of Washington.
11 Section 2. That the amendment to the Comprehensive Zoning Map of the City
12 of Auburn, Washington, encompassing this Zoning use classification change, be
13 and the same is hereby approved.
14 Section 3. That the City Clerk for the City of Auburn, Washington, is
15 hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with
16 the King County Auditor.
lry Section 4. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administra-
lg tive procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions 6f this
1g legislation.
20 Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
21 from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
