I Call to Order
The Urban Tree Board met at Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation at 2•00 pm
Tree board members attending were Chair Bryce Landrud, Members. Brooksie Donna Hall, Jan Speer
and James Tourangeau. Also present at the meeting were Parks Planning & Development Manager]amie
Kelly, Horticulturist Richard Valenti and Parks Secretary Julie Mehl.
II Minutes
The board approved December 2015 and ]anuary 2016 minutes.
III Correspondence/Public Input
Tree Inventory Request for Proposals for pruning / maintenance on trees is in process.

VI Board Recommendations/Input
Chair Landrud accepted the Arbor Day Proclamation on behalf of the ATB. The Arbor Day Tree is a
Carolina Silverbell and has been donated by the Auburn Garden Club.
Chair Landrud shared Seattle has a volunteer pruning day with Plant Amnesty Perhaps Bryce could start
something in Auburn with 20 arborists to climb and prune. Suggestions include Isaac Evans and
Veterans Memorial Parks.
VII Department Report
Clean up events Auburn Adventist Academy, Cedar Lanes Park, Auburn Environmental Park, Mary Olson
Farm Clean Sweep on April 23 will coincide with Earth Day and include a large project at Isaac Evans
Park installing a new playground, clean up understory and add play chips.
