ORDINANCE NO 3 2 0 4
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, RELATING TO AND PROVIDING FOR
THE CONDEMNATION OF TRACTS OF LAND BY THE CITY OF AUBURN FOR STREET
PURPOSES AT EAST MAIN BETWEEN AUBURN WAY AND "M" STREET
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS
Section 1 That in order to promote public health and improve the street
and roadway facilities of the City of AubUrn, it is necessary to acquire
ownership by the City of Auburn of tracts of land located within the corporate
limits of the City, and in order to acquire ownership thereof by the City of
Auburn, public condemnation proceedings shall be immediately commenced on said
land That a copy of said legal descriptions are attached hereto, denominated
as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein
Section 2 That public condemnation proceedings shall be instituted
without delay by the City of Auburn to secure the ownership and possession of
said property hereinafter described in Exhibit "A" , for the purpose of improving
the street and roadway facilities of the City of Auburn
Section 3 That the Mayor, City Clerk and City Attorney of the City of
Auburn are hereby authorized and directed to proceed without delay to file the
proper petition for the condemnation of said private property hereinafter
described in Exhibit "A" on behalf of the City of Auburn
Section 4 That the entire cost of the improvement provided for herein
shall be paid as follows
90% from the Urban Arterial Trust Fund;
10% from Forward Thrust Funds
Section 5 That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five
(5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by
law
