Old Business:
- - --
• Gapon Monument- Daryl Faber and Craig Hudson agreed on offering a '
monument at cost to Vladimir Gapon. Chris Green, owner of Pacific Coast

Memorial (cemetery wholesaler) is currently worlang with Mr Gapon on that •
monument. The price will be-about $5,500 00 Pictures and setting fee will

be an additional cost.
The office will display the following sign. "Makers Should Be Made Out Of
Granite Or Bronze"
o Memorial Day-Weather was nice, many families with young children came `
to the service. This was the second year the bleachers were brought in and ,
they helped people in the oval so they were able to hear the spealcers during
the ceremony Mayor Nancy Backus, Chaplain Jay Coon, the VFW, Inter
Tribal W,arriors Society and Boy Scouts were part of the program. The
ceremony took about 25 minutes.
o Sod Cutter- Saves a lot of time and energy St.is safer for the staff.
New Business:
. ForestWalk-This area is a great seller for the cemetery There aze newer
and larger benches now and the polished boulders sell really well. Planning
to expand in the future and-get it near the chapei of inemories. The less
expensive option in tHis area is the"cvishing well where families can scatter
remains for $750 The urn vault could hold about 1,000 remains ancl there
r
are currently about 12-15 different remains. The other less expensive option
is a single plot for about $2,900, including the marker and tates. The
original idea of the ForestWaik was to use biodegradable urns but fairiilies
aze not buying those kind of urns.
• Old Equiprrment- Theie are some line trimmer and back pack blowers that
will cost more to repair them than getting new equipmerit. There is the
possibility to surplus them. Craig will check if the new equipment is in
inventory by Finance and also he will find out what to do with old equipment
that isn't in use.
• Updated Policy/Rules Handouts - Recently, a magazine rack was purchased
to display and have the updafed policy/rules of the cemetery for easy access
to families.
. Volunteer Groups - A couple groups came in May A Veteran group
volunteered to help during the mazker cleaning day and, a group of LDS girls
of about 20, helped with weeding and putting some bazk in the ForestWalk
area.
