I Call to Order
The Urban Tree Board met at Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation at 2•00 pm
Tree board members attending were Chair Bryce Landrud, Members. Brooksie Donna Hall, Jan Speer
and James Tourangeau. Also present at the meeting were Horticulturist Richard Valenti and Parks
Secretary Julie Mehl.
II Minutes
The board approved April 2016 minutes.
III. Correspondence/Public Input
Board member]an Speer requested drainage repair at Roegner.
IV Old Business
Secretary Julie Mehl to get Big Leaf Maple Heritage Tree at Olympic Middle School on ]une 6 City Council
meeting agenda.
"Lake Auburn" to remain rustic, will remove black berry bushes

VI. Board Recommendations/Input
Arbor Day— Hoping to get list from Tanya Galat of the Auburn Garden Club on all Arbor Day trees We
could review/inspect health.
VII. Department Report
Two new full time employees have been hired in Parks Maintenance plus one back up to full staff from
2008 Will start planting next week in various parks.
Clean Sweep Update. Event went well, Isaac Evans volunteers worked until 4.00 pm chipping
playground, removing black berry bushes etc
VIII. Adjournment
There being no further business, the meeting was ad�ourned at 2.50 pm
